Use of TV/PC in the Classroom and PC/PRINTERS in the Faculty Rooms and offices

1. All teachers and staff are held responsible for the care and maintenance of the TV/PC in the classrooms as well as the PC and printers in the faculty rooms and offices.

2. Keys of the TV/PC cabinets are placed in the Faculty Rooms and are monitored by level facilitators.

3. Submit a report to the technical support staff for the check-up and repair of defective equipment and gadgets.


Request on the production and Reproduction of Instruction Materials

1. Fill-up the Requisition Form.

2. Requisition should be done one week before its use.


3. Check and preview the material before using them in the instruction.

4. Return the material to the IMC.


5. Submit the student-made and teacher-made visual aids and instructional materials to the IMC.


Use of Projection Room

For Students

1. Fall in line in going in and out of the Projection Room and in going back to the classroom.

2. Observe proper decorum inside the Projection Room.

3. Drinking and eating are not allowed inside the Projection Room.

4. Leave the room clean and orderly.

For Teachers:

1. Make reservations in the use of Projection Room one week before the scheduled activity by filling up personally the schedule sheet.


2. Give clear instructions to the students about their sitting arrangement, proper decorum, etc. inside the projection room.


3. Use the entrance door for entrance the two doors for exit.


4. Do not TURN OFF all the lights during the film showing. Students are not in the movie house; they need lights in writing important information. Make sure that the lights at the back are turned ON.

5. Remind the students not to touch nor play the LCD Projector especially when it is turned on.

6. It is very important to preview the materials and submit them ahead of time to the IMC for the final preparation.

7. Seek the assistance of the IMC personnel on how to manipulate the equipment and gadgets and whenever technical problems occur.

8. Report to the IMC any damage, defects or malfunctioning of materials and equipment.







USE OF VENUES, FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT FOR INSTRUCTIONAL AND SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

1. Reservation on the use of IMC venues, facilities, materials and equipment should be made one week before its use. It should be filed personally by the teacher in-charge in three copies. Use of venue and gadgets for special activities outside instruction should be approved by the Directress/Principal.



2. Make prompt and proper coordination with the concerned teachers or staff in order to avoid delay and conflict of schedules. Notify immediately the IMC for cancellation and change of schedules.


3. Check and preview the materials like CD, VCD, DVD, PPT. presentations, etc. ahead of time. Have a back-up copy of the presentation.


4. Provide the IMC personel and technician with the program of activities.


5. The teacher in-charge should give clear instructions to the students about proper decorum, maintenance of peace, order and cleanliness and proper use of the venue and equipment.


6. The IMC reserves the right to charge the borrower for lost, stolen or broken equipment and/or materials during the time of usage.






Use of Sound System and Light Effects

1. Students are not allowed to manipulate the console and/ or amplifier inside the control room.

2. For special activities like a play production, only three persons are allowed inside the control room to direct the technician for the lights, sound effects, etc.

Use of Laptop, LCD Projector and Other Electronic Gadgets

1. MS laptop is used for general school activities only.

2. Students are allowed to bring their own laptop, digital/video cameras for instructional purposes only.

3. Teachers will be the one to request for the use of venue and other equipment like LCD projector for instructional and other school activities.

4. The use of equipment, videos and other multi-media presentations will be stated clearly in the criteria or rubrics to guide the student on the proper utilization of the present technology.

5. Proper orientation and reminders should be given to the students in order to avoid accidents and losses. The students may keep the equipment and gadgets in their lockers or may surrender them to the teacher or IMC personnel for safekeeping.

6. Teachers should regulate the number of students who will bring the equipment and gadgets. The Students' Technical and Documentation Committee will be responsible for their own equipment and gadgets. The school will not be liable for lost equipment and gadget due to
irresponsibility and carelessness.

Use of Laptop for MS Employees

1. Personal laptop or notebook should be used for instructional purposes only.

2. Avoid using it anywhere inside the school premises to maintain the virtue of simplicity. It should only be used in the faculty rooms and in the classroom if:

a. the PC in the classroom malfunctions and could not be fix right away.

b. the lesson or activity contained in the laptop could not be transferred in the CD or other secondary device.

3. Laptop should be battery operated. Charging in school is not allowed.

4. Record the use of laptop and software in the Monthly use of materials and equipment.

Guidelines for the Request and use of CD, CDRW, etc.

FOR ACADEMIC AND INSTRUCTIONAL PURPOSES:

1.Requests for all CDs, CDr and/or diskettes should be made in the IMC through the Borrower’s Card and should be returned at the end of the school year. These secondary storage devices will be used for filing of documents like minutes of the area meetings, reports, SMBs, lesson plans, etc.

-High School Department – c/o High School IMC

2.For Faculty: Subject Area Coordinators will be the one to request for the materials for the teachers in her area.

3.For the staff/offices: Request may be made by each Coordinator or the Office Head.
